Sketchbook Project 2015

It’s been a long time since I last blogged… Lots of new things happening… And I feel like I am busier than ever… Biggest event of this spring is the fact that I am leaving Tanzania after living here for two years. Leaving comes with a lot of to do lists. And I ticked one recently…

One of the things that I have done before I left my previous posting in Japan was to design a sketchbook for my years in Japan. It was a tribute all the years that I have spent in this beautiful country and I called it ‘Five Years in Japan‘. My sketchbook has travelled 36 cities and made 21251 miles around North America. So I added a sketchbook to my leaving ‘To Do List’ and designed one for my years in Tanzania. I have completed and sent it to the Sketchbook Project on the second week of April. Now it is on its way to the Brooklyn Art Library in New York. Hopefully if it makes it there on time, my sketchbook will make it to the World Tour 2015 launch on May8. (fingers crossed) How exciting!!!

Before the tour, a sneak peek here for you:

Sketchbook Project Posted!

I have finished it! Finally made it happen!

I mailed my Skecthbook Project Notebook today!

This notebook is a tribute to my 5 years in Japan. It has a little bit of story, lots of memories and some photos and resolutions in it. And you know what? It will be travelling the world just like me only in different parts. If you are in these cities, go and check my book out:)

Sketchbook Project

Yeyyy!!!! I have received my Moleskine Notebook from Art House today! Why am I soooo excited? Because I am now officially a part of the Sketchbook Project 2013. This project is about forming a travelling library of artists’ books from all around the world. And I am one of them!

Participating for this project was pretty easy, I have logged into their site and registered for the project. It costs $25 for receiving a blank Moleskine notebook and registering. I have also paid around $20 to get my book digitized. When I am done with this book, I will send it to the Art House Coop and they will add it to the exhibition lot, and my book will travel the world! How cool is that? I haven’t categorized my book as I have a couple of ideas in my mind, we will see how it will end up… Follow the progress here in my blog and if you feel like joining in please visit their site: www.arthousecoop.com/projects/sketchbookproject/participate
